Learn from a Female Woodworking Bada$$

We are ECSTATIC to have resident SNTL volunteer and shop monitor Hannah Wides - a local sculptor and woodworker, be a part of our teaching staff, and you should be too!

She received her BFA from the School of Art of Cooper Union in New York and studied woodcarving at its sister school in Japan, Kyoto Seika University. She received a certification in woodworking and furniture design at Yestermorrow Design/Build School in Vermont. Hannah's work has been exhibited in group and solo shows in the US and abroad. Her work experience ranges from carpentry, cabinet making, art and museum fabrication, timber framing, woodwork project and design consulting as well as sculptural and furniture commission work. With an emphasis on craft and traditional tools spanning cultures and eras, she is also a woodworking instructor at the Woodworkers Club in Rockville and is available for private sculpture and furniture commissions.

Take some classes with Hannah - she's knowledgeable, welcoming, and fun to be around.  Samples of her own work can be seen at www.hawides.com
