BRADLEY GIRARD

BOARD MEMBER
*Civil rights lawyer, amateur woodworker*
I’m originally from Chicago, but have settled in Baltimore and love that people here are committed to helping each other out wherever possible. I care deeply about building community, making sure everyone has access to the skills and tools offered by SNTL, and learning from all the creative folks who pass through the SNTL doors. I work as a civil-rights lawyer at a national nonprofit, focusing on employment discrimination. And in my free time I do woodworking, collect records, and love stoop sitting.

JASON DEMBECK

I have 15+ years of accounting experience in both the public and private sectors. After discovering the tool library I believe I signed up for every available class in one summer. I've also been a member of the SNTL advisory committee since its inception in 2019. I hope to provide bookkeeping services and financial analysis so the Library can continue to grow and support the community.

I deeply believe in the mission of the tool library to serve as a resource for Baltimoreans to learn new skills, grow in confidence as makers and fixers, and have access to the tools we need to transform the spaces we live in. When I discovered the tool library, I knew I had found a group of neighbors who could support me as I made Baltimore my home. I’m excited to bring my background as an inquisitive scientist, a mentor and coach, a project manager, and a life-long “eh, I bet we can fix that!”-er to support the mission and the people of the tool library.

In my day job I grow vegetables for my community members at an urban farm in northeast Baltimore while caring for chickens, sheep, goats, and honeybees. With the Station North Tool Library I plan to bring new programming to members aimed at addressing the needs of Baltimore residents renting homes.

I am a community-oriented co-creator, physical and digital maker, and infrastructure enthusiast. I live in my favorite city (Baltimore, obviously) with a pitbull named Osceola who is adorable but admittedly kind of a punk. I hope to contribute a design-thinking and action-oriented approach to how the library helps solve community problems and fosters community space.

Arts educator, nonprofit administrator

I love all things Baltimore, up/down, West/East, from arts to education and STEM. I’ve worked as a sound designer for 5 years and transitioned into arts education nonprofit work, with the hopes of becoming a nonprofit leader in the future. I love SNTL because it is doing the hands-on work, literally and figuratively, of keeping a specific neighborhood together through resources. My ideal contributions as a board member include fiscal oversight, grantwriting, and paperwork.
